Nouvelle qui met en scène une rencontre entre Neel Doff (1858-1942), écrivain belge d’origine néerlandaise, et Keetje, personnage principal d’une trilogie souvent qualifiée d’autobiographique. Au cours d’un dîner dans un restaurant bruxellois, les deux femmes parlent de leurs vies, notant les ressemblances, sans pour autant oublier les différences et les malentendus. Keetje, qui au début se contente de poser des questions et d’écouter attentivement les réponses de Neel, est celle qui finalement surprend le plus. Elle prend le relais de l’auteur afin de donner sa propre version de « ce qui s’est passé après ».

Novell på franska* om ett tänkt möte mellan författaren Neel Doff och hennes romanfigur Keetje. Neel Doff (1858-1942) föddes i Nederländerna men flyttade till Belgien redan som tonåring. Mest känd är hon för sin romantrilogi om Keetje, ofta betraktad som självbiografisk. I novellen äter de båda kvinnorna middag på en restaurang i Bryssel och samtalar om sina liv; de noterar de många likheterna utan att för den skull glömma skillnader och missuppfattningar. Keetje, som till en början mest ställer frågor och storögt lyssnar till Neels svar, blir till slut den som överraskar mest. Hon tar över stafettpinnen från författaren och ger sin egen version av ”vad som hände sedan”.

Ann-Mari Gunnesson est docteur ès lettres (Université de Göteborg). Ses recherches portent sur la littérature belge d’expression française. Elle a introduit Neel Doff en Suède, notamment par une biographie de Neel Doff et la traduction en suédois de la trilogie de Keetje.

Författaren har skrivit vetenskapliga arbeten om belgisk litteratur, däribland en biografi på svenska om Neel Doff. Dessutom har hon översatt denna franskspråkiga belgiska författares mest kända verk, Keetje-trilogin, till svenska.

But one day, Malakai makes the utmost unreasonable decision to quit talking to his therapist. Since he is a deranged serial killer, the FBI becomes suspicious, yet is still hesitant to come after Malakai because of how dangerous he is in the public eye. Who knows what will happen next? I know that your mind is overwhelmed with curiosity, so go on. Take a little peak into the story of the boy who faced the FBI. Maybe it's real, maybe it's not. Who really knows?
